We look like we are having fun in transit...
4/8/12 ~ Our train was leaving Florence around 1 a.m. on Easter Sunday therefore we stayed up all day Saturday and left Ben and Josh's flat around midnight to make it to our train. We slept the entire ride until we hit Pisa where we had a 3 hour delay before our next train left. So it was around 3 a.m. and Juliann, Megan, and I are huddled in the Pisa train station with the two small airline blankets and the sleeping bag that we brought with us. The Pisa train station is basically outside so it was chilly, but we stayed together and kept warm. To stay awake we watched John Tucker Must Die and then started to watch 10 Things I Hate About You, however we know the movie too well and it was starting to put us to sleep so we switched over to watching episodes of Scrubs until it was time to catch our next train. After an attempted and failed attempt of pick-pocketing by a gypsy we were glad to be on the next train.

Grove City Girl's Flat
It just so happened that our next train was a Harry Potter train with the little rooms that could be closed off!!! I was too tired to fully appreciate it, but the sleep we got on this train was nice. We then proceeded to miss our stop, but it was okay because the next stop was also part of the next train's route so we waited there and got on with no problems. We then proceeded to sleep again until it was time to get off in Turin. So after 10 hours in transit we were walking through the train station where Bekah, Juliann's roommate from Grove City, was there to greet us. We hopped the subway and made it to their beautiful flat. It had tall ceilings, chandlers, and wardrobes that were about 100 years old. Hannah and Katie were there waiting for us while Emily was still in Morocco. The Grove City girls are amazing and offered to cook for us, and being us we tend to ignore our hunger while traveling so I was super happy. Hannah had made pasta from scratch, which was joined with fruit salad, homemade bread, and garden salad all of which were delicious. I was so exhausted that after "breakfast" I passed out for a few hours and woke up to get ready for Easter dinner.
Easter Feast (Monique, Juliann, Hannah, Bekah)
This Easter dinner was not like a normal Easter dinner because we were going to eat it at the top of a mountain. We took a bus to the top of the Superga (a church on top of a mountain) to eat and watch the sunset. We had fruit, homemade bread, cheese, and Colombo cake. We had also missed the last bus down so it was adventure time walking down the mountain after our fabulous dinner. After getting back to the flat it was decided that we were going to sleep in a mega-bed, where they put three of the beds together and we had one big sleepover on mega-bed.
